Allensworth K-8th School

Where We Began

Founded in 1912, the Allensworth School has long been the heart of the community, a place where education, culture, and civic life come together. Rooted in a vision of self-determination and opportunity, the school has served generations of families and continues to stand as a vital community anchor.

Where We Stand

Today, the school serves over 100 students from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade and remains a hub for learning and community life. With strong enrollment growth and deep family engagement, it reflects both the needs and aspirations of Allensworth. Ongoing efforts focus on strengthening curriculum especially in environmental education, regenerative agriculture, and cultural knowledge while improving facilities and expanding partnerships that connect classroom learning to real-world experience.

Where We’re Going

Looking ahead, the vision builds toward a comprehensive educational pathway from K–12 to a future Allensworth Academy. Plans include expanding to a climate-responsive high school with both academic and vocational tracks, hands-on training in agriculture and environmental stewardship, and apprenticeship opportunities tied to local enterprises. Ultimately, this vision aligns with the broader C2C plan to cultivate centers of excellence creating a model for place-based education, workforce development, and community resilience in Allensworth and beyond.
