Food Distribution
The Allensworth Food Distribution program provides monthly food boxes at the Community Center to combat food apartheid. With the nearest grocery store about 13 miles away, this program helps reduce barriers to access food.

Food distributions are typically held on the second Friday of each month from 8:00 - 11:00 AM. This is a pick-up location with on-site parking. Food is subject to availability, first come, first serve basis, while supplies last. Any schedule changes or updates will be shared with residents through the Textedly app.

Food is available for residents of Tulare County. Individuals outside the county will be served, but we will advise the recipient to a distribution agency in their respective area.

Food is provided through our partnership with FoodLink, Tulare County’s food bank.

You can authorize someone else to pick-up food on your behalf, but they can only pick up for up to two other people outside their household.

No Identification is required. We only ask for your name, county of residence, family size, and whether you’ve received food from another food bank during the month.

Services provided under this program are free of charge to all individuals.

Supplemental Food Offerings
Food Pantry
The Community Center food pantry is available to residents when leftover food from distributions or donated items are on hand. This resource offers additional access to food between scheduled distribution days, supporting our community while making sure food doesn’t go to waste.
Holiday Food Distribution
Despite funding cuts this year, APA provided chickens and turkeys to help supplement food fo the community. About 100 households received food baskets, each including either a turkey (thanksgiving) or chickens (Christmas) and a $25 gift cards to help supplement a meal. These distributions ensured families had access to a meal during the holidays. APA remains committed to strengthening food security and supporting community year-round.
