Services
Smart Meters
Our water system has recently completed a major infrastructure improvement by upgrading many older meters to modern smart meters, improving the accuracy of water usage readings, reducing estimated billing, and modernizing the system for better service. Many of the previous meters were worn, missing, or difficult to read, requiring staff to estimate usage, but the new smart meters can now be read directly from the office. Funded by the County and focused on active meters identified through a mapping process, the replacements were completed just two weeks ago with engineering support from Four Creeks. Customers may begin to see information from the new meters reflected in their bills, and a monthly service fee to help maintain the system. For questions or additional information please see the Contact Us section below to reach the General Manager.
Street Lighting
Street lighting plays a vital role in keeping Allensworth safe and accessible for everyone. The cost of maintaining the lights is included in residents’ water bills. The ACSD encourages community members to reach out to request replacements for broken lights or upgrades to improve visibility in the neighborhoods.
Community Meetings
Our community meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 5:00 PM at the Allensworth Community Center
We currently have a 5-member board and are actively seeking new members to help guide community projects and initiatives.
