Welcome to Allensworth Progressive Association (APA) – Nurturing Black Founded and Black Resiliency Since 1908
The Allensworth Progressive Association (APA) stands as a testament to resilience, community strength, and the enduring spirit of its founders. This legacy of resilience, determination, and the pursuit of excellence continues to guide the APA’s mission in serving a predominantly Latinx population today.
The vision of the APA remains unwavering, echoing the principles set forth by its founders. Through the years, the organization has evolved to meet the needs of the dynamic community it serves. The APA is not just a development organization; it is a living legacy, a testament to the enduring spirit of Black-founded initiatives and the strength found in diversity.
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, the APA spearheads various initiatives aimed at community development, empowerment, and education. From educational programs that celebrate cultural diversity to community outreach projects fostering unity, the APA is committed to enhancing the lives of its residents. The organization serves as a bridge between the past and the future, honoring the Black-founded roots while embracing the vibrant tapestry of the present-day community.
